Jasmin Kuhn is an award winning commercial Director, Cinematographer and Photographer. Born and raised in the bucolic outskirts of Vienna, Austria where art and music were ingrained in her since childhood. Inspired by her parents’ thriving multi-media production company, she moved to the Unites States to pursue her love of the visual arts. At the age of 16 she began building an extensive fine art and fashion photography portfolio, which got her accepted to the very prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Since graduating from Art Center her Directing credits include commercial work for international accounts such as Dove, Ponds, Head+Shoulders, LG, Macy’s, Neutrogena, BenQ-Siemens, Crayola, Rite Aid, Kotex and Henkel. Working with Agencies such as O+M, DDB, JWT, BBDO, Saatchi+Saatchi and Instinct.
Her “LEJA LIPS” Commercial won BRONZE at the 2014 TELLY AWARDS. Her “Colors” Spot for Larenim won GOLD for best directing at the SCA AWARDS and BRONZE at the TELLY AWARDS. Her “Heroes” PSA for the Veterans Association of America won the PLATINUM EMPixx AWARD. She also received numerous ARAW AWARDS for her commercial work in Asia.
Ms. Kuhn, the Cinematographer, has completed principal photography on four feature films, “Subject: I Love You,” which stars Briana Evigan, lead actress of the Disney/Buena Vista international hit “Step-Up 2” and 2014’s “Step-Up 5” including the Webseries, “Wendy”, by the Executive Producers of “The Vampire Diaries”. “Blood Ransom” as principal photography, starring Alexander Dreymon from the hit show “American Horror Story” and the Box-Office Queen of the Philippines, Anne Curtis. “Blood Ransom” was released nationwide in theaters 2014 and “Teleios” a Sci-Fi thriller all shot in Los Angeles, as principle photography.
